The Old Time Horse Farmers Gathering began in 1996 as a need to educate our children on the farming practices of the past and present with horse and mule power and show what  rural and farm life was like in the early 1900's.   Here are some pictures from the years past.

These young fellows were discovering how to shell corn.  They were part of the many school children that come on Friday to discover a part of the past.                              
           Tommy Flowers drives a trio of European Belgians hooked to a hay loader, while Herbert Long and Harold Williams stacks the loose hay. 1999
Gene Knowlton steers the road grader while Sambo Trotter drives a team of Percherons.  This was the way the country roads were maintained.  1999                
     Steve Montgomery from Reynolds, GA has a pair of mules that anyone can plow with.  
Mr. Winters stirs the popcorn that is cooked in a sizzling copper kettle.                               
              Woody Peters came from Alabama to plow and disc at the Gathering.
